On Saturday 23rd May we transformed the main arena at Challenge Stadium into a winter wonderland spectacular for Ernst and Young’s annual dinner.

Guests entered the room through the giant wardrobe filled with fur lined coats and wandered through fake snow and fog to be greeted by a white winter witch.

A live ice carving performance with a chain saw and beautiful light up trees and centre pieces set the scene for a great night.

Impressive costumes showed that this company possesses many brilliant minds!!

Every wonder what happens to those props that go missing at parties? We do, as it happens all the time! We were pleasantly surprised this morning though when we were sent an email with photo’s of our Pirate Parrot on a Broome to Melbourne Road Trip! Those of you that have used our Pirate’s set would remember him fondly. He has been missing for over twelve months so we were pleased to hear he has been having a jolly time. He is expected back from long service leave sometime in May. This pic is from when he visited the Great Australian Bite. Can’t wait to hear his stories… hang on, “what goes on tour stays on tour” he said. Oh well!

Function Picks Up “Charity Event of the Year” Award

January 14th, 2009
Wizards Hall (6)

In January 2007, Phenomenon Event Services were commisioned by Paula Leishman and Associates to design and build the set and props to blow away the audience. After nine months of intense designing, consultation and building, the Hogwarts Hall set was alive and full of surprises for the guests at The Burswood Ballroom in Perth.

A giant 6m high firesplace presided over the rear of the room while hundreds of candles appeared magically suspended above the dancefloor. Living portriats and gargoyles with flames coming from their mouths all added to the mystery!

The dinner was on behalf of Choice Aggregation Services, raising funds for the Make a Wish Foundation.

Awarded in July this year, the Award was judged by an independent panel and from the ten categories available, the E-Connect Charity Event of the Year was the last one to be announced. In this category there were two winners, equal in the score we received, we are proud to share this award with the National Breast Cancer Pink Awareness Campaign. Given the high national profile of that event, we are incredibly pleased to share their company.
