iinet celebrated it’s bi-annual gala event at the Burswood Resort in the Grand Ballroom on Saturday 31st August and Phenomenon were brought on board to create a magical Winter Wonderland theme!
The cocktail event saw over 600 guests enjoy the divine buffet of food and they were treated to Husky dogs and a snow machine at the entry, living statues, Jazz Trio, Aerial performers and a live ice carving performance to top the night off!
A green screen was also there for guests to have funny winter related pictures taken.
The room was transformed into a fabulous Winter Wonderland with a huge beaded chill out area, light up bars, glass trees and a winter garden.
The questions on everyone lips – was BoB there? That is for us to only know……
On Saturday 3rd July Phenomenon produced the Housing Industry Association 2010 Kitchens and Bathrooms Awards in the Grand Ballroom at Burswood resort.
The theme was a magical Japanese garden and we utilised our brand new LED light up cherry blossom trees. The entrance was through a stunning wrought iron archway, entwined with vines and flowers. Each table centre was a full display of cherry blossom branches. The MC Angela Tsun described the room as “absolutely stunning” and the event was another hugely successful partnership with the HIA team.
For more pictures of the theme please look under “Event Production - Event Theming - Japanese”.

Phenomenon was enlisted by brewing giant Lion Nathan to take part in styling their Budweiser stand at the recent AHA Trade Show held at Burswood. The show is an industry event directed at people who work in hospitality. Our brief from the client was simple – make this the best stand at the show! Phenomenon provided all the branded light up bars and furniture and worked closely with the client to ensure the layout gave them the best impact. We won best stand so we are all very proud!
Saturday night saw the BelleVue Ballroom at the Perth Convention Centre transformed into a pharaoh’s tomb for the annual Butterfly Ball fundraiser for Down Syndrome. Guests were treated to some amazing entertainment with belly dancers, a DJ and a band! The entry for the night was a hieroglyph lined tomb tunnel and the all around the ballroom hung hand painted panels of Egyptian gods. The main stage was flanked on either side by giant 3D Rameses statues.
The event was a huge success raising tens of thousands of dollars for a worthy cause. Phenomenon was proud to be involved as a sponsor.
As winner of the Western Australian MEA Youth Schlorship, Veronica was able to attend the MEA Conference in Melbourne from the 19-21 April. Paul and Kellie went along as well and we all had a ball! To all the Perth crew that went, thanks for the laughs and fun and to those that didn’t make, let’s hope to see you at the next one! Here is a classic series of photos taken in a photo booth at one of the social nights!
This year is all about glitz and glam and what better way to celebrate than with a Disco Fever themed party! Phenomenon designed a fabulous Disco themed event for a travel group from Singapore last week. Guests entered the room through the flashing Disco Fever archway and were greeted by a sparkling ballroom. Over 20 mirror balls were suspended over the amazing light up dance floor and martini glasses filled with coloured gel balls were the centre piece. The 800 strong crowd had a great night and busted their Travolta-esque moves on the dance floor all night long!
Phenomenon is very pleased to announce that the fabulous Veronica has won the Western Australian YMEA (Youth Meetings and Events Australia) Young Industry Professional Scholorship 2009! She was voted the winner by her peers in the events industry so you know that your function with Veronica is in good hands!
The win includes a trip to the national MEA Conference in Melbourne in April where she will have the opportunity to meet other state winners and industry professionals. The National awards night is on the 20th April so we all have our fingers and toes crossed for her!
On Thursday Phenomenon transformed the pool deck at Next Generation Kings Park in Perth into a mystical Arabian Nights themed setting for the re-branding of a local law firm.
The existing umbrella’s were turned into luxurious silk lined tents and staff were treated to henna artists and palm and tarot reading. Eclectic lanterns and palm trees all added to the eastern charm!
